Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time a website is accessed, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the retrieval.

This access data is evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the trouble-free operation of the site as well as the improvement of our services. This serves, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, the protection of our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our services, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. All access data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

Hosting Services Provided by a Third Party
As part of processing on our behalf, a third-party provider performs the services of hosting and presenting the website for us. This serves the protection of our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our services, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. All data collected in the course of using this website or in forms provided for this purpose in the online shop, as described below, are processed on its servers. Processing on other servers only takes place within the framework explained here.

This service provider is located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

2. Data Collection and Use for Contract Processing and When Opening a Customer Account

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g., via contact form or email), or when opening a customer account. Mandatory fields are marked as such, since in these cases we need the data for contract processing, or to handle your contact request or customer account setup, and you cannot complete the order and/or account opening, or send the contact request, without providing this data. The data collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data provided by you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for contract processing and handling your inquiries.

After complete fulfillment of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiration of tax and commercial retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to further data use which is legally permitted and about which we inform you in this policy. Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a designated function in the customer account.

3. Data Sharing

To fulfill the contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we share your data with the shipping company commissioned with delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the order process, we share the payment data collected for this purpose with the credit institution handling the payment and, if applicable, payment service providers commissioned by us, or with the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves, provided you create an account there. In that case, you must log in with your credentials during the order process. The respective payment service provider’s privacy policy applies.

We use a payment service provider located in a country outside the European Union. The transfer of personal data to this company occurs only to the extent necessary for contract fulfillment.

Data Sharing with Shipping Providers
If you have given us your express consent during or after your order, we will, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, share your email address and telephone number with the selected shipping service provider so that they can contact you prior to delivery for the purpose of delivery notification or coordination.

Consent can be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or directly to the shipping service provider at the contact address listed below. After revocation, we will delete the data you provided for this purpose unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to further data use that is legally permitted and about which we inform you in this policy.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

In order to make your visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products, or for market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages. This serves the protection of our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our services in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e., after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit (persistent cookies). The storage duration can be found in the overview in your web browser’s cookie settings. You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them, or to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. Each browser differs in how it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings. You can find these for the respective browsers at the following links:

If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analytics
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (www.google.com). This serves the protection of our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our services in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that allow analysis of your use of the website, such as cookies. The automatically collected information about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is generally not merged with other Google data. After the purpose ceases to exist and at the end of our use of Google Analytics, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed [here]. Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively, you can click this link to prevent collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will then be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font will be used from your computer.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
